Introduction to Plot:

Plot is a series of related events that make up a story or drama. In chapters three and four, the conflict begins to reveal itself. Let's watch a video to understand plot elements of a story.

Directions: Using the plot diagram worksheet, we will complete the first three elements together (exposition, rising action, and climax) using details from our novel. The remaining two elements will be revealed later on in the novel.

Directions: Using the stationary paper provided, create a one page diary/journal entry detailing Sadako's first week stay in the hospital. Use details from the novel and your divergent thinking to come up with a creative and meaningful diary/journal entry. What does she hear? See? Taste? Touch? Smell? How do the other characters respond to her situation? Remember to write using the first person point of view "I" as if you were Sadako.
