Chapter 8: Airy-Go-Round
Professor Sherman learns about an invention that was designed completely by the children! This invention is called the “Airy-Go-Round.” The children did all the design work, had a little help building it, and had to create a schedule for using the invention that all the children would agree with.
Task 1: Complete Your Balloon
You should be in the final stages of finishing your tissue paper balloon!

Following the directions in your packet, complete the assembly of the gores.

After completing your final seam, examine each panel to inspect for holes and make repairs.

With help from your teacher, attach string on top of the balloon, and add a collar.

Using the Balloon Tester, the teacher will inflate your balloon for a final check.

Task 2: Assist Classmates
Once your balloon has passed inspection and is hanging up, you may work with other teams to help them complete their balloon.
