Discover The 21 Balloons is a semester-long  Critical Thinking unit developed around the Newberry Award winning novel. Weekly lessons follow each chapter and include a reader's response and technology focused exploration. Working in collaborative teams, students will spend several weeks designing and constructing their own hot air balloons from tissue paper.   The unit culminates in an exciting outdoor balloon launch!
