The River Nile

After traveling by canoe for hours, the Lost Boys had only crossed half of the River Nile!  The Nile is the longest river in the world, and there is something very unique about it; the river flows from south to north.  Can you determine why this is?

What do the fishermen know about the night that the travelers do not?  How are the travelers (Lost Boys) affected?  Think of a creative way that you could solve this problem, if you were one of the Lost Boys.
