LESSON 5
Investigate Freshwater
What is freshwater? Where do we get it? How is it used?
Let's find out!
Here, we learn the difference between freshwater and saltwater and how plants and animals need freshwater to survive. Freshwater seems abundant, but our supply is very limited...only 1% of all Earth's water is available to us in lakes, rivers, wetlands and through the atmosphere from precipitation.
Not All Rivers Reach the Sea An article written by Rachel Nuwer
What would we do without water?
Does the amount of water in our hydrosphere ever change?
How do plants and animals survive when their access to water changes?
Let's find out!
What can we do to help conserve Earth's freshwater and make things better, for all living things, here on Earth?
